One day my family and I, together with some friends have visited Hirosaki, a city located in southwest Aomori Prefecture, Japan. We went there for hanami ("flower viewing"), or cherry blossom viewing. Japanese people simply enjoy the intensity of many blossoms by looking at the beauty of one tree or a group of trees. Here, I will not insist over the cherry blossom for I want to talk about the japanese food. Usually it consist in a steamed white rice (gohan), with small main dishes and side dishes (okazu). All of this are accompanied by japanese soup (miso soup) and of course the customary pickles (tsukemono).
